The Sound of Silence--Silence in the face of Marxism

If we are to take back the nation, we need to be involved. We need to pray, but beyond prayer we need to act, waiting on the Holy Spirit to guide our steps;

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” -- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

In a recent interview Elizabeth Farah (World Net Daily) spoke with Lorenzo Sewell, a pastor in Dearborn Michigan, about the growing problem of Islam in America[1]. During the conversation, they talked about the silence of the church in the face of a growing Islamic threat.

Silence grows like a cancer and it has spread throughout our culture

The silence is much wider than the threat of Islam, it encompasses the disintegration of our culture. I list some of the things that have radically changed in our culture upon which the church has been silent.

Prayer was removed from school in the 1960s. If ever there was a time for the church to speak out it was then. The silence was deafening.

Homosexuality began as accepting two consenting adults practising their lifestyle behind closed doors. That was the thin edge of the wedge. It has expanded to gay marriage[2] and transgenderism being pushed on children without parents’ knowledge[3].

The sexual revolution began with the introduction of the “pill”. Sexual degeneracy has followed. The ultimate goal for the elites is paedophilia and child murder.

Abortion started as a women's health issue and would be limited to the first trimester. It has since moved to partial-birth abortion and the next step is infanticide.

Feminism began with women fighting for the right to vote. It has expanded to a highly destructive force, ruining families[4] and causing a catastrophic decline in birthrate.

Health care in Canada has devolved to where “Medically Assisted In Dying” (MAID) has claimed more lives than the US murder rate in 2024[5]. Canada is further down the road than the US, but it is not far behind[6].

The song, “The Sound of Silence”[7], was release in 1965 and was an immediate hit. The song includes the lines

“Fools,” said I, “You do not knowsilence, like a cancer, grows

Silence grows like a cancer and it has spread throughout our culture to the point where everyone is afraid to speak out against the spreading evils in our land. Post something pro-life on social media and you will be pounded by the voices of the left, so people are bullied into silence. In the UK, police are searching for someone posting “White Lives Matter” graffiti[8]. As the silence grows, evil grows, with one even calling for the extermination of Trump supporters[9].

This is part of the problem, but there is a much bigger problem. The internet says this about the song.

“The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel is a profound reflection on modern alienation, the failure of human connection, and the danger of emotional indifference.

Throughout all of this, the church has been silent. There is the odd voice decrying the decay[10], but it is far and few between. In all, the church is indifferent to the growing evil around it.

The church today has kicked God out. It does not need Him

The indifference has........
