Since the Labour Government entered office, businesses across Mid Buckinghamshire, and indeed across the country, have been grappling with mounting uncertainty and increased costs, writes Greg Smith, the Conservative MP for Mid Buckinghamshire.

Despite promises of stability and sustainable growth from the Prime Minister and Chancellor, recent policy decisions have eroded confidence, making it increasingly challenging for businesses to operate and be competitive. Many are reporting they expect lower turnover and with that will employ fewer people, be unable to offer pay rises and in some cases be forced to make some redundant.
