For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with all methods of transportation. Planes, trains, automobiles, you name it.

When I was 4, I saw the Union Pacific's Challenger-class locomotive, No. 3985, the biggest operating steam locomotive in the world at the time. When I was 19, I got up at 5 a.m. to drive two hours to see UP's Big Boy No. 4014, even bigger than 3985, on its restoration tour.

I've been to Formula 1, IndyCar and NASCAR races to scratch my automotive itch.

On Saturday, like many of you, I finally got to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in action.

These aviators are among the best in the world at their craft. Imagine the task you're best at - whatever it is, those pilots are probably better at flying the F/A-18 Super Hornet than you are at that task.

I mean, these pilots fly closer together than you or I might drive by each other on Interstate 8, but at 700 miles per hour instead of 65. Unreal.
