AAA Gas Check: Pump prices fall across Arizona for a month straight
Drivers are getting a break at the pump as the summer travel season heats up. Arizona’s average for a gallon of regular gasoline has dropped 19 cents in the past week to $4.29. This marks nearly four straight weeks of declines, a trend also being seen across the nation. For the first time since March 30, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is down to $3.99.
“Crude oil prices are down as the U.S. and Iran reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz,” said Doug Johnson, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “These sliding gas prices are welcome news for millions of people who are preparing to travel for Independence Day in record numbers starting next weekend.”
