No, this isn’t some desperate descent into Trumpian, cross-border name-calling, but a factual look at how much the average Canuck spends on U.S. goods compared to an American neighbour splurging on our exports.
And here’s the eye-opener: It isn’t even close.
Not surprisingly, our politicians here in the Great White North haven’t managed to figure this out. Maybe math is hard in their line of work, after all. But it’s time they collectively came to grips with basic arithmetic because it provides the perfect answer to all the insipid nonsense spreading across this continent alleging Canada is somehow ripping off the U.S. when it comes to trade.
