Changed My Mind, Mamdani Belongs at World Trade Center Ceremony
I changed my mind regarding the Islamic Socialist Mayor of the City of New York, Zohran Mamdani, attending the commemoration service held at the World Trade Center on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Many families and loved ones of September 11 victims, as well as good-hearted New Yorkers and Americans, are quite dismayed with the current New York City Mayor making an appearance at the annual commemoration ceremony, especially with this year being the 25th anniversary.
The opposition of family members, and more than a score of New Yorkers and Americans, is due to several of Mr. Mamdani’s stances on issues; any of them by themselves would cause great consternation as to having him at such a solemn occasion.
Perhaps first and foremost is Mr. Mamdani’s blatant antisemitism. The examples of this brain rot are too numerous to name, but the latest of which was his refusal to appoint a single Jew to the mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary; this being in a city where 10 percent of its population and a large percentage of the legal field are Jewish.
His support of the BDS movement was strong even before the Israeli operations in Gaza in response to the October 7 terrorist attacks.
Further, it was the Palestinians who celebrated openly in the streets after September........
