A few weeks back, when it was shown that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) had been using donations to fund activities of certain individuals and outfits they had listed as “hate groups”—including those behind the infamous Charlottesville rally—many in the press defended the group. Recall the claims that what they had actually been engaged in was funding confidential informants who were infiltrating the various groups to collect intel on their actions?

Welllllll…look at this new development.

One of the SPLC’s top officials was not only channeling money to an alleged member of a supremacist group, but she was also in a relationship with the individual who had been granted a total of over $1 million, as the two lived together and had joint bank accounts.
