In mid-2023, the population of the Gaza Strip was approximately two million. It is currently two million. The IDF – supposedly committing genocide – is not very proficient – unlike the Nazis, who butchered the Jewish people during WWII. In six years, the Nazis reduced the European Jewish population from 9.5 million to 3.2 million. That was a genocide.

I recently had an exchange on Facebook. Two progressive “friends” who I have organized with over the years both announced that they are antisemites. That left a small hole in my soul. Another “friend” said: Actions intent on genocide generate a negative attitude towards the country pursuing such action. My reply: The genocidal actions came from Hamas on Oct 7, 2023. There is no genocide in Gaza – it is a war. The IDF is at war with Hamas – not the Gazans.

Israel is a democracy – a flawed democracy like any other around the globe. But Hamas is a terrorist regime, and the red-green alliance – the alliance between Hamas, a brutal extremist organization, and the global progressive left – is beyond comprehension. To anyone who has critically thought through this issue, it should be obvious that Iran is using the Gazans to try to genocidally wipe Israel and its Jewish population from the map. Hamas, an Iran proxy, uses Gazans as human shields. Every Gazan killed, while Hamas embeds itself among them in hospitals, schools, residential areas and elsewhere, is a martyr for the cause – the cause being the eradication of Israel.

The historic inversion of the word genocide, the persistent and ruthless framing of Israel as a genocidal nation – and its supporters as complicit in genocide – has worked to demonize the Jewish people, delegitimize Israel globally, and to hold Israel to a double standard worldwide.

College students yell “baby killer” at anyone they think is Jewish – a tactic they learned on campus or from TikTok. Radicals attack Jews on the streets shouting “Allahu Akbar” not knowing anything about the Israel Palestine issue. They simply hate Jews – for whatever reason. Jews have been murdered on the street solely for being Jews. And these Jew-hatred actions have become normalized.

A trendy concept these days is that attacking Jews is not a hate crime; it is resistance. Can you imagine Black people being........
