China has stood firm on its position over LaLiga suspension even after Real Madrid’s explanations over the Kylian Mbappe dispute.

China’s state broadcaster, China Media Group (CMG), has confirmed it suspended LaLiga broadcasts following controversial comments by Kylian Mbappé on Mao Zedong.

It also rejected Real Madrid’s defense which argued Mbappe had a right to his opinion and meant no offence. But a CMG spokesperson stated that the player’s remarks “go beyond freedom of expression” while emphasizing that the club remains fully responsible.
