Five lucky European museums will receive free T-72 tanks for display—though NATO ferreted out the platform’s military secrets decades ago.

The government of Ukraine announced this month that it will donate five captured T-72 main battle tanks (MBTs) to museums across Europe.

The vehicles, which were “captured or obtained” during the ongoing conflict, will be gifted to institutions in Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands—five European NATO nations that have strongly supported Kyiv’s war efforts since Russia launched its unprovoked invasion four and a half years ago.
