Stand firm against forces of hate and evil

Hate cannot make us great.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that,” Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

I was raised to believe that Americans were the good guys and our causes were always just. I took pride in the American ideals such as life, liberty and justice for all.

But these days I feel it has become life, liberty and justice for some or those who can afford it.

I know there are millions of Americans who are resisting this current wave of greed, hate and fear that has imprisoned the minds and hearts of many poor souls. I urge us to continue in the vital work of nonviolent resistance and protest.

History has taught us that evil in all its forms cannot endure, because people grow tired of it and such things burn out over time.

But as it has been said, hope springs eternal and can’t be killed by missiles and can even thrive in detention centers. Stand firm my friends and do not give up.

I still believe the God of all life and love suffers with the oppressed........
