There are few things in this world that cannot be improved by having the Guinness logo stamped across them.

At least, that was my conclusion after visiting the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin last week.

I had been invited down for the final instalment of its summer Sets series, headlined and curated by Derry-born musician SOAK, and before the gig had the chance to take a self-guided tour.

I’d never been to the Storehouse before but I must admit I was impressed.

Every detail has been carefully considered and beautifully presented.

The history, brewing process, advertising and cultural significance of Guinness are explored through displays which manage to be informative without ever feeling like a school trip.

You absorb a remarkable amount without really noticing you are learning anything.

By the time you reach the Gravity Bar and look out across the city with a pint in your hand, it becomes clear that Guinness has squeezed every........
