The day that changed everything for me

SOMETIMES a feeling comes over you that you don’t fully understand. In that moment, you don’t know what will or might come of it.

This time, two years ago, as I drove through Kesh on my way home from a two-day conference on Lusty Beg Island, I noticed that something had changed in me, and I mean really changed.

A shift in energy is something that we sometimes chase, or crave. It is electric when it happens naturally, and this hit me like a bolt out of the blue.

I had been working as conference MC for the previous two days at the inaugural She Ventures all-island conference, curated and organised by the Awaken Hub.

Awaken Hub is an all-island peer community for women founders who are focused on growing dynamic and successful businesses.

This conference was a showcase for this community, bringing star guests together for fireside chats and breakout room sessions.

There were focussed investment discussions, mentors, peers, partners and champions.

Somehow, within such a packed schedule, there was plenty of time for casual, informal chat with........
