IT’S hard to know where to start with the hypocrisy of it all.

Even in the north, where it’s difficult to shock most of us, Jeffrey Donaldson’s disgusting behaviour in the guise of Christianity is something different.

The long and short of it is that he’s evil.

An evil man who lectured, condescended to, and discriminated against others because he believed himself superior and untouchable.

The reports flooding out now in the aftermath of the guilty verdict run in two camps: investigative work that was known but could not be published for fear of being taken to court; and those who wish to use the pain of two children for their own political or social gain.

Like many journalists, I had heard about Jeffrey Donaldson’s behaviour in London. The PSNI were aware he visited a gay sauna.

Politicians’ private lives with consenting adults are none of the public’s business for the most part.

Unlike Jeffrey and those of his ilk, I have no interest in other people’s personal business or sex life and I have no judgement about it.
