Watch live: Trump gives remarks on health care affordability

President Trump is hosting an event at the White House on Thursday afternoon centered on health care affordability.

Trump is expected to announce a new deal with pharmaceutical company Regeneron, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, as part of his “Most Favored Nation” initiative. It marks the 17th agreement the administration has made with major drug companies for pricing concessions.

The president has also touted his TrumpRX.com platform, a direct-to-consumer website featuring more than 40 prescription drugs treating various conditions at varying discounts.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
