Tuesday’s South Carolina Republican Senate runoff election between Sen. Darline Graham and Rep. Ralph Norman will test President Trump’s endorsement power.

MAGA Inc., a super PAC that backs Trump, has invested in Graham’s election, and Trump on Monday night touted an Oval Office meeting with the senator.

Norman trailed Graham in the state primary two weeks ago, with 24.6 percent and 32.7 percent of the vote, respectively, according to Decision Desk HQ. But Graham fumbled a question on Taiwan last week, which caused a wave of backlash. Polls close at 7 p.m. EDT.

Oklahoma’s primary elections are also on Tuesday.

Since the trade negotiations between the U.S. and Canada came to a halt, Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney have turned to taunting. On Tuesday morning, the president suggested the U.S. could start referring to Lake Ontario as “Lake America,” saying in a post, “we don’t expect to doing much business with Ontario any longer.”

Oral arguments are set to take place over the Justice Department’s bid to block California’s law that prohibits immigration officers from wearing face masks. A federal judge in February ruled the state cannot enforce a mask ban, but it can require them to show identification when performing their duties.

The Trump administration is due Tuesday to submit a written update on progress made refunding importers who paid tariffs invalidated by the Supreme Court. Customs and Border Protection collected roughly $166 billion in tariffs from more than 330,000 importers struck down by the Supreme Court that now must be returned, government data indicates.

The president has nothing public on his schedule.

Federal judge declines Maxwell bid to toss conviction

A federal judge on Tuesday declined a petition from Ghislaine Maxwell to set aside her conviction, a longshot bid that would have allowed for a new trial.

Maxwell represented herself in the habeas petition challenging her detention that she filed last December. 

New York-based U.S. District Judge Paula Engelmayer noted that Maxwell had previously been “represented by able counsel,” but did not use her attorney to file what the jurist described as “a lengthy and rambling petition” that did little to open new avenues for her defense.

Callaway apologizes for 'Good Good' ad showing woman shoved to ground

Golf company Callaway is apologizing over an advertisement for a new driver posted by its media partner Good Good Golf, which depicted violence against women and was subsequently taken down.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Callaway CEO Chip Brewer said the video, which was posted over the weekend on Good Good social channels, was approved by Callaway and said it should not........
