Talarico dismisses ‘corny nicknames,’ attacks from Trump, Paxton

The Democratic candidate in Texas’s U.S. Senate race, state Rep. James Talarico, brushed aside insults elevated by President Trump and his Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. 

“I honestly get the sense that people across the spectrum, across the state are tired of this politics as professional wrestling, right? You got these old guys lathered up in their fake tan, throwing corny nicknames at each other,” Talarico told MS NOW’s Eugene Daniels in a new interview that aired on Saturday morning. 

The Democrat said these insults do not address the issues he is campaigning on, such as affordability.
