Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday said President Trump told him the U.S.-Israeli conflict in Iran is “not that popular.”

Kilmeade spoke with fellow Fox News host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery on her podcast “Kennedy Saves the World” about speaking with Trump on the phone during the World Cup and talking about the Iran war.

“Basically, his word was, ‘[I am] surprised at the amount of progress made in the Oman talks,’ and he said, ‘I realize the war is not that popular, I also realize it’s necessary,'” Kilmeade said, referring to Oman’s role as a mediator in talks between the U.S. and Iran.
