While President Trump opted not to attend Wednesday's Supreme Court arguments as part of a legal challenge to his sweeping tariffs policy, there was another notable — and surprising — public figure there: comedian John Mulaney.

The former "Saturday Night Live" writer was among the high-profile attendees — including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar (Minn.) and Ed Markey (Mass.) — to snag a seat in the public gallery.
