New surgeon general pick in deleted posts criticized Trump, RFK Jr. policies
President Trump’s nominee for Surgeon General Nicole Saphier previously criticized healthcare guidance and recommendations from the administration in now-deleted social media posts unearthed by CNN.
Saphier, a former Fox News contributor and radiologist, seemed less than impressed in archived posts on the social media platform X when it came to some aspects of how the White House was handling infectious disease and medical advice.
The posts were found and compiled by CNN’s KFile team.
“Seems like they may not want to admit the U.S. Measles elimination status is is gone until after midterm elections,” Saphier wrote on March 3, 2026.
In a post from last year, Saphier reacted to Trump warning pregnant women not to take Tylenol over the unconfirmed potential link to autism, writing, “As a mom of 3 kids, I don’t love a man telling me to ‘tough it out’ when it comes to pregnancy.”
Saphier commented on Tylenol use again soon after, writing, “My son has a high fever and I’m angry that I am now questioning giving him Tylenol.........
