Savannah Guthrie returns to ‘Today’ show
Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show desk on Monday, weeks after her mother went missing in an apparent kidnapping authorities have been unable to solve.
“Welcome to ‘Today’ on this Monday morning. We are so glad you started your week with us, and it is good to be home,” Guthrie said as the show opened.
Craig Melvin, Guthrie’s co-host, chimed in, saying, “Yes, it is good to have you home.”
“So here we go, ready or not, let’s do the news,” Guthrie said as the program turned to the latest developments in the U.S. war with Iran.
