Netanyahu: ‘No restrictions’ on Israel military acting to thwart Hezbollah threat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said its military has “no restrictions” regarding its efforts to target Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel’s continued operations against the militant group have strained the U.S.-Iran ceasefire reached last week.

“The directive from me and the Defence Minister to the IDF [Israeli Defense Forces] is clear and has not changed: our forces in southern Lebanon have full freedom of action to thwart any direct or emerging threat against them or against the residents of northern Israel. The IDF faces no restrictions in this matter,” Netanyahu said in public remarks.
