LIST: The stores, restaurants that are open for July 4 this year

(NEXSTAR) – It’s shaping up to be a big July 4, what with the U.S. marking its semiquincentennial – better known as its 250th birthday. If the intense heat dome won’t keep you from celebrating Independence Day, neither should forgotten hot dogs, lack of decorations, or need for a road trip snack.

Thankfully for you, many businesses will remain open on July 4, though they may have different hours than usual.

As you would expect, banks, post offices, and government offices will be closed for the day – partially because the holiday falls on a Saturday this year, too.

Also as usual, Costco and Raising Cane’s will be closed on July 4. Both businesses close for major holidays.

For the most part, any other retailer or restaurant you’re hoping to visit on the holiday will be open. Nonetheless, it’s best to call ahead or check their websites to confirm hours and the availability of services they offer.

Ace Hardware: Because stores are independently owned, hours may vary. You can find your local Ace Hardware’s hours online.

Aldi: Stores will have limited hours on July 4, Aldi has confirmed.

Apple: Should you need a screen replacement or a charger, your local Apple store will likely be open but may have shortened hours. You’ll want to confirm those online.

Barnes and Noble: Your Barnes and Noble store will likely be open but with limited hours, which can be confirmed online.

Best Buy: Though Best Buy stores will be open for Independence Day, they may close early. Store hours can be found online here.

Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop: Both stores will be open for the holiday, but will likely close early. You can verify location hours on the Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops websites.

CVS: Stores will be open, but CVS........
