Carney’s absence from Iran debate was a missed opportunity
On Feb. 28, the United States and Israel began their barrage on Iran, with strikes that ultimately killed the country’s longtime supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, as well as roughly 1,250 Iranians, eight Americans, 13 Israelis, nearly 400 Lebanese people, and dozens more in surrounding Gulf countries as of March 9.
