The complexity of terrorism primarily pivots around four important elements. First, the domestic conditions produce and nurture extremist ideas which keep on attracting the young minds for recruitment at tactical level. Second, regional dynamics provide a conducive ground for intervention by the neighbouring states to extend their financial tentacles way beyond the hinterlands through multiple means. Third, securitisation of society occurs at every tier of social strata and there is hardly anything escaping from it. This often makes a local issue as a national one and vice versa. Lastly, there exists a cascaded disharmony among the military, other institutions and the people of the country. Resultantly, it reduces the capacity and capability of other institutions. Moreover, the intensity of such a friction creates numerous problems in counter-terrorism actions.
