The stuff we care about as a society, wow.

When it comes to playing the game of golf, it’s supposed to be a sanctuary of peace, where you just lock in and connect with your love for the sport. But when you’re Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, there’s always going to be a camera around, so that peace is nonexistent for somebody of his status.

Even if you tell a joke, just a simple joke while choppin’ it up on the golf course, your peace can be destroyed. Just ask LeBron, who absolutely infuriated the city of Memphis, Tennessee. (RELATED: Megan Rapinoe Once Again Proves That She’s Cuckoo With Blatant Denial Of Reality)

James, who has taken on a new enthusiasm of golf, talked with the people of “Bob Does Sports” while also playing a round.

The talk was riddled with jokes and even took a turn into a more intimate conversation as LeBron reflected on “The Decision,” which happened almost 16 years ago. But things quickly went from a light-hearted golf game to a debate that sparked up all across the country. And that’s because of what LeBron said about Memphis, the hotel accommodations they have and how the city just, well, sucks.

“Staying at the f*cking Hyatt at 41 years old? You think I wanna do that sh*t? Being in Memphis on a f*cking random a** Thursday?” a laughing James rhetorically questioned. “I’m not the first guy to even talk about it in the NBA. We’re all like, ‘You guys have to move. Just go over to Nashville.’ You got Vanderbilt over there. You got the f*cking NASCAR. It’s got everything.”

Well, with Memphis being the second-biggest majority black city in the country (with Detroit being No. 1), apparently this makes James a racist. That’s what goofs on social media are saying. Yeah, I don’t know either.

James even had to clear this whole thing up Saturday following a Lakers practice.

“Did I say I don’t like Black people?” said James to the media. “I’m 41 years old and there’s two cities I don’t like playing in right now. And that’s Milwaukee and that’s Memphis.”

This is where we’ve gotten as a society … accusing LeBron of not liking black people … LMAO!
