When NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell recently floated the possibility of launching a professional flag football league, it underscored a pivotal moment for the sport. Flag football — a fast-paced, inclusive and dynamic iteration of traditional tackle football — is experiencing unprecedented growth across the globe and is recognized as the fastest-growing sport in the world.
