Plot details and the name of James Corden and Ruth Jones' new show have reportedly been revealed.

The pair, who co-wrote the iconic British sitcom Gavin & Stacey, are working on their new project after the show's finale.

The final episode aired on Christmas Day last year and was watched by around 19 million viewers, making it the most-watched TV programme on Christmas Day in 23 years.

Now, details about the duo's next project together have been revealed, including its name and plot.

According to publisher Deadline, the show will be called The Choir and will star Corden and Jones once again.

The pair, who are long-term friends, starred as two of the main characters, Smithy and Nessa, in Gavin & Stacey.

Detailing the alleged plot of the new show, Deadline says: "Corden and Jones are playing the leads and exec producing The Choir and will star as brother and sister Ben and Lisa, who haven’t seen each other for several years.

"Ben has been living abroad, while Lisa has carried on in their small English town, where nothing ever happens.
