A new pedestrian bridge is coming to the Los Angeles River, connecting the cities of Glendale and Los Angeles and providing a new entry point to Griffith Park. The $31 million bridge is part of a broader plan to not only increase pedestrian access to massive Griffith Park, but also revitalize the land along the river, making it more accessible for all.

The Glendale-Los Angeles Garden River Bridge Project aims to connect the Glendale Narrows Riverwalk on the north side of the river in Glendale to the Los Angeles River Bike path and Griffith Park along the river’s southern bank. The project is estimated to cost north of $30 million, with $18.75 million of that funded through California’s Proposition 68 parks bond.
