Wild sideshow in quiet SF neighborhood ends in burning U-Haul
The intersection of Kirkham and Great Highway in San Francisco.
A normally quiet San Francisco neighborhood was awoken by a rowdy sideshow that left a rented U-Haul damaged and at least one person arrested.
The sideshow kicked off around 4:30 a.m. Saturday near Great Highway and Kirkham Street in the Outer Sunset. Neighbors told CBS News that they heard fireworks and possibly gunfire as vehicles squealed through the area. The sideshow culminated in a U-Haul being set on fire. The man who rented the truck said he watched as people broke into the window and set the truck ablaze. He said most of the furniture inside the truck was destroyed.
