Consumer Reports tested nine battery-powered blowers across handheld and backpack styles, evaluating blowing power, noise, ease of use, and debris-clearing speed to identify the standouts worth buying.

At $250, the Greenworks BL60L512 earned an 85 out of 100 from Consumer Reports, the top score among handheld models tested. It weighs about 11 pounds and includes a four-year warranty. CR rated it a fast mover on leaves and embedded debris, and said it runs quietly enough that hearing protection isn't needed during operation.
