When life takes what is precious to us, it’s easy to remain angry, cynical, and distrustful.

Life is not fair, and it makes sense to stop pretending that it should be.

When we forgive life, we let go of being life’s victim.

Most of us don’t think of the option of forgiving life. It might be easier to see that forgiving God is something we’re more comfortable considering. I prefer to focus on life as fashioned by the Creator. Life as the tendency to give and take. It can offer opportunities for love, belonging, achieving, joy, and satisfaction. Each of these can also be taken away as we experience a loss of love or isolation, sorrow, defeat, and disillusionment. Life can play the death card without any warning.

When We Don’t Forgive Life

There are a number of consequences when we either don’t see that forgiving life is a possibility, or we simply don’t want to do it.
