I Loved the Book Stellaluna While Growing Up, Now I Know Why

The book 'Stellaluna' tells the story of a bat who has been separated from her family. She lands among baby birds and joins the nest. They are kind and adopt her as their own. But their food is yucky, at least for a bat. And she's forbidden from hanging upside down.

As a little girl who similarly liked to hang upside down from places people told me not to, I loved Stellaluna. I'd hum my way to the colorful little seats in the library, slapping the laminated book on the table and placing the headphones on my ears.

As I grew and time passed, my memories of Stellaluna faded.

That is, until recently, as an adult, when a streaming service suggested I watch Stellaluna. The name sounded so familiar.
