AI is often used by faculty and administrators to enhance their own writing.
What constitutes plagiarism isn't a new concern; it needs to be considered again in the age of AI.
What is needed is a thoughtful examination, not condemnation.
This article wasn’t written by AI but by me, the person whose name appears at the top of the page. You have my word for it.
But let’s say that what you are reading really is a product of AI. Would it make any difference if all the facts were correct, no grammatical or spelling errors, clear writing and the presentation coherent and cogent? If you were interested in the subject, I suspect not. Whether written by a person or AI would likely be irrelevant.
For teachers and others concerned with not only the moral implications of cheating but also the cognitive side of development, who wrote an assigned paper is a big deal. For real learning to occur,........
