Well I just read the CBC article: “Liberals share new details of how they attracted first floor-crosser, Chris d’Entremont.” I am incredulous. Consider this scenario regarding an election:

An election is coming up. A group of MPs get together to form a representative party. We’ll call it Y. After much discussion and planning with their fellow MPs and constituents they decide on a platform promising all the things which their constituents want their representatives to implement should they win the election. Let’s call the platform A B C.

Of course there is another group of MPs who get together to form a representative party. We’ll call it X. After much discussion and planning with their fellow MPs and constituents they decide on a platform promising all the things which their constituents want their representatives to implement should they win the election. Let’s call the platform D E........
