It was a great pleasure to see Catherine Hennessey participating in the presentation of the award that bears her name during Charlottetown’s Heritage Awards presentations. Also sincere congratulations to all the award winners. It is heartwarming that the city is still carrying on with this tradition.

Regrettably, a person who has worked tirelessly for the preservation of the 500 Lot Area and other parts of the city that have fallen prey to demolition and unsympathetic renovation, was not recognized for her heritage work.  Andrea Battison has, with intelligence and passion, devoted untold hours to call attention to the bylaws that city officials are required to follow........
