LESA LIGHT: Children’s books rock, but they're not easy to write
Many, many moons ago, I wrote a children’s picture book called Nana Moon. It was a gentle little story about a grandmother spending a fun day with her grandchild.

I wrote the text, an artist drew the pictures, a publisher did all of the, well, publishing work, and I even got an ISBN number. Two thousand copies were printed, and they all sold except for the few that I hoarded.
I did try to get another picture book published, but no luck. Good thing I kept my day job!
I earned enough to buy a second-hand piano, which is long gone. But I do have the satisfaction of a goal accomplished.
