COMMENTARY: Finance minister can’t hide facts about P.E.I.’s dismal finances
Two credit rating agencies — Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s — recently downgraded the Prince Edward Island government’s outlook to “negative,” expressing increasing concern over the government’s fiscal choices. The downgrades are the latest in a series of warnings about P.E.I.’s finances — the Island’s auditor general has repeatedly sounded the alarm over the province’s debt situation.
