CHEERS AND JEERS: Cheers to P.E.I.'s paramedics, who need support right now

Cheers to P.E.I. paramedics who were recently honoured for their years of service. In a release announcing the honorees of the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medals, Darcy Clinton, with Medavie Health Services, said, “A career in paramedicine is built on service, sacrifice and a commitment to caring for others. The individuals recognized today have dedicated decades to supporting Islanders when they need it most.” This week, it has been Island EMS professionals who need that care and compassion as they have been dealt a horrific blow with the death of two members of their team in a collision in New Brunswick, as well as the patient they were tending to. While celebrating the award winners, we join with P.E.I. in mourning the loss of their colleagues.
