From Mar-a-Lago or Trump Tower?
No, from Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and ancestral home of the Dukes of Marlborough.
And no, it was not used as a ducal throne. Back in September 2019, when it was unceremoniously removed from Blenheim, it was part of an exhibition by Italian artist, Maurizo Cattelan, who titled the work “America.” (Perhaps thinking of Mar-a-Lago or Trump Tower?)
The 98 kg, 18 carat gold toilet was fully functional and exhibition guests were invited to use it. In fact, one of the accused did, describing the experience as “splendid.”
Now, no one else will have the undoubted thrill of trying it out. It has reportedly probably been broken up and........
