Say what you want about golf course rankings; love them or hate them, or ignore them altogether.

I find the idea of assigning a numeric score to a course, which is such a personal and subjective topic, kind of pointless. But the mere appearance of the words top 100 and golf course in the same headline sucks me in every time.

Canada’s official golf magazine, Score, just released its 2026 version of the country’s best golf courses. Once again, sitting proudly and justifiably at the top of the list were Cabot Cliffs (No. 1), Cabot Links (No. 2), and St. George’s (No. 3).

The only change in this triad from 2024 was a reversal of the second and third spots.

It is notable that the Score Top 100 list only includes courses that are gender inclusive in their membership policies. While they do not name names, we do know that courses that have been considered not exactly gender neutral include The National and Toronto........
