St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, in partnership with Princess Gardens Retirement Residence, will welcome Canadian singer-songwriter, comedian and inspirational speaker Wendy Farha on Monday, Sept. 21, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. This free community event will be held at Princess Gardens, located at 100 Charlotte St.

Known for combining laughter with honesty and hope, Farha uses original music, comedy and personal storytelling to encourage audiences through the challenges of life. During the afternoon, she will share from her own journey through clinical depression, breast cancer and other difficult experiences, offering an uplifting reminder that joy can still be discovered even in life’s most challenging seasons.

“Wendy has a wonderful ability to make people laugh while also speaking honestly about some of the difficult things many of us experience,” says Rev. Debora Rolls of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. “We are delighted to partner with Princess Gardens to offer this event to the wider Peterborough community. We hope people will come away having laughed, connected with others and been encouraged.”
