Art at the Church, an art show and sale by Lakefield Creative Arts Group, takes place Saturday, July 18 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 81 Queen St., Lakefield. Meet the artists, view their work, and perhaps even make a purchase. A portion of each sale will go to Lakefield Food Bank.

“Established 2010 as an outreach program, we welcome artists of all levels,” says Cindy Allan, a member of the group. “Currently, with approximately 25 diverse and talented members, we strive to create a space for fellowship and artistic collaboration, enriching the culture fabric of our community.” 

Artists participating in the show/sale include David Mehew, Marlene Loth, Ann Turner-Murphy, Sharon Harper, Deb Bannister, Julie Simard, Gail Corbett, Cindy Allan, Beth Craig-Markle, Chris Wilde, Willy Ruiter, and Kelly Goulding. They work in a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oils, wool painting, stained glass, charcoal, and pastels.
