Ask Dubey: Do the Oilers have the goaltending to go deep in the playoffs?

Playoff season is back in Edmonton.

As the Oilers look to go on another deep run to the Stanley Cup Final — hopefully coming out on top this time — one of the biggest questions surrounding the team is their goaltending. Connor Ingram has taken the reins in Edmonton, but can he get the Oilers to the promised land?

Let’s get into some questions from this week’s episode.

Was it good for Ingram to play as much as he did down the stretch, or is the door open for him to burn out?

I do think it was a good thing. And no, he’s not going to burn out in playoffs. It wasn’t that many starts and he’s in good shape. But I think it was great that he got the starts, both for him and for the team. You want a situation where it’s not a question of who’s starting.

And not only that, but fans and players seem to be happy with Connor Ingram as the starter. He’s played really well, he’s given them consistent efforts starting that many games in a row. Now, he’s a consistent presence in the net that the team is........
