Police recorded more than 890 home burglaries in the last year.

Norfolk remains one of the safest in the country for home break-ins but data obtained by Legal Expert via Freedom of Information requests found that 2,641 residential break-ins have been recorded in the last three years.

But of the 898 home invasions logged last year 2024, just 32 (four per cent) resulted in someone being charged or summonsed.

In the majority (51pc) of cases in 2024, police concluded that the investigation was completed and that no suspect was identified.
