Dame Victoria Sharp, president of the King's Bench division, was joined by a host of Norfolk dignitaries at a special service held at Norwich Crown Court, marking the retirement of Judge Alice Robinson who had been the city's resident judge since 2021.

Dame Victoria said it was a "pleasure to be here to pay tribute to Judge Alice Robinson".

Quoting an old newspaper article she said Judge Robinson was "Norfolk's top judge".

She said the judge had given "many years of distinguished service to the judiciary" and described her as an "inspiration".
