Chilling question man accused of murdering ex-wife asked armed police during arrest

Raymond Williams, 61, has gone on trial for the murder of Tania Williams.

The body of the mother-of-four was found "lying in a pool of blood" near her home in Catherine Gardens at Thorpe St Andrew on Saturday, January 17.

Soon after the discovery, police were called, and arrive at the scene before midnight where they found the 49-year-old's throat had been repeatedly cut.

Norwich Crown Court has been told by prosecutors Williams had been "lying in wait" for Ms Williams following a night out in the city where he had followed her from bar to bar.

Williams was arrested by police in the early hours of Sunday, January 18, at his Dereham Road home.
