Chelsea Townsend, who has 22 convictions for 151 previous offences, the vast majority of which are theft-related, was charged with eight thefts from shops.

Norwich Crown Court heard the offences, which happened at Norwich stores between December 30, 2025, and February 1, 2026, included the theft of 189 chocolate bars worth £238.

That offence occurred at the Co-op store on Unthank Road in Norwich on January 9 this year.

Other city stores targeted by the 26-year-old as part of the spree included the Co-op at Catton Grove and Hellesdon, Costessey, as well as Tesco Express on Aylsham Road.
