A blaze at Mousehold Heath on Thursday has left part of the landscape blackened and scarred, with crews describing it as "the worst fire in decades." 

Six fire engines and around 50 firefighters were called to tackle the blaze, which spread across three sections of the reserve, ripping through trees and hedges.
