REVEALED: Second Norwich hotel was used to house migrants
The Norwich Hotel on Thorpe Road closed its doors in June having housed asylum seekers for years.
Its previous use has emerged after the Home Office this week confirmed a further wave of asylum hotel closures, also including the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe which this newspaper revealed was shutting in April.

But while the Brook drew months of demonstrations and national scrutiny, the Norwich Hotel attracted far less attention.
The 36-bed hotel, which the Home Office says opened under the previous Conservative government, is understood to have accommodated only women and children - in contrast to the Brook, which was predominantly used to house single males.
People living and working on Thorpe Road, who did not want to be named, said they were aware the site had housed asylum seekers, but insisted there had been "no trouble".
